Take a Walk Through a Surgical Day...
You arrive one hour prior to your scheduled surgery time.
You are brought to the dilation room and dilating drops and a mild sedative are given to you.
You are examined by the surgeon. Any last minute questions can be answered at that time.
You are brought into the surgical suite. You will be given a hair cover.
You are made as comfortable as possible on the bed, instructed as to what to expect, and your surgery is performed. First one eye, then the other.
Your are escorted into the recovery room complete with soft music and a reclining lounge chair. You will be here about 20 minutes.
After, you are examined by the surgeon who then places clear eye protection shields over your eyes.
You are discharged and driven home by your escort.
Total Time at the Laser Center is 2 1/2 - 3 Hours.
